The City of Fairfield (the County seat) is located at the gateway of the Sacramento Valley. On Highway 80 at the center of Solano County.

The city of Fairfield is roughly 37.7 square miles in size. It is the second largest City in Solano County. The current population is approximately 97,000 residents.
